For some of you, collecting originally designed stickers from your travels is one thing you look forward to. “let’s travel with a sticker” is the concept FREEFOWLS has for the stickers that we create. Choose a preferred sticker and stick it on your travel goods such as your suitcase. For those of you who forgot to pick one up on your travels, we sell them online too. These stickers can be used outside, for an example on your motorbike or car.

SURISE COFFEE is an imaginary island café produced by FREEFOWLS. It’s an American style diner with a specialty coffee and “sunny side up”. The sun used on the logo also resembles the sunny side up fried egg. Relaxing music in a shady and breezy café, the fresh ground smell of coffee, chunky coffee cups and the sizzle of the frying pan cooking great sunny side ups. Please relax at our imaginary café.

じゅーしーアイランド・ステッカー
Juicy Island-Sticker
JUICY ISLANDの”JUICY”は、沖縄のソウルフード、「じゅーしー」（沖縄風炊き込みご飯）のこと。なんとじゅーしーおにぎりをモチーフにした、こんなモダンなステッカーがあったかねーというFREE FOWLSならではの衝撃のデザイン。歪んだ円形にみえる輪郭は、ステッカーの形がそのまま、じゅーしーおにぎりの形をしています。「I LOVE 石垣島」的なベタな表現のハートマークが黄色いのも、実はじゅーしーの脇役の「たくあん」をイメージしたもの。小さなステッカーにFREE FOWLSのじゅーしーへの思いが込められています。
“Juicy” from “Juicy island” refers to “Jushi-gohan” which is a local soul food (pork, seaweed and vegetables simmered and steamed with rice). The motif is a rice ball. A design with an impact by FREEFOWLS. It may be in a weird round shape but that is the shape of a rice ball. The yellow mark is an image of “Takuan (pickled radish)” which is usually served with rice balls.

2013年に新石垣島空港が完成したことを記念してたデザインした架空のエアラインの企業モノステッカーです。スーツケースにぜひ貼っていただきたい１枚です。琉球航空は、「花咲く海の向こうの島々へ」をコンセプトにした沖縄のエアラインという設定。同デザインのTシャツもございます。
This sticker was designed in 2013, celebrating the opening of the new Ishigaki airport. It is a corporate style sticker that would look great on your suit case. Ryukyu airlines is based on the concept “To the islands of the flowers over the ocean” and it represents an imaginary airline locally operating in Okinawa, there also is the T-shirt with the same design.

The sticker design went through a renewal in April 2016!! hoping that the beaches on the island will be crowded again, the scattered flip flops resembles the liveliness of the beaches. just a note that even at peak season, the beaches are never over crowded so you will be able to enjoy the quiet beach in the nature. 石垣島の人魚・ステッカー

２０１６年発売の「石垣島の人魚」Ｔシャツのデザインをステッカーにいたしました。 石垣島には人魚がいるという伝説があります。その人魚が泣いているというデザインのステッカーです。なぜ、人魚は泣いているのか。。。兼ねてから問題になっている赤土流出による海洋汚染が未だに解決策が見つからないままなんです。石垣島に新空港が完成して以降、さらに島の開発は進んで海が濁ってきているのです。石垣島の財産は何よりも美しい青い海。この海を美しく青く保つこと、美しいまま次の世代に受け継ぐことが何よりも大事であるはずなのに、それができないでいるのです。近年、石垣島の都市化が止まりません。今一度立ち止まってこの島に大切なことは何なのか考える時期に来ていると思うのです。そんな思いをデザインした人魚Ｔシャツ。代金の３％は石垣島のNPO法人夏花(なつぱな)で島のサンゴの調査・保全のために使われます。ご協力いただきありがとうございます。このステッカーを通して島のことをもっと真剣に考えたいと思っています。
There is a local legend of a mermaid living on the island. The design is of a mermaid from the legend in tears. So why is the mermaid in tears? There is a long history of red soil being washed into the ocean here in Ishigaki. And still we have no solution strategy on this case. After the new airport was completed several years ago, the development and construction on the island have increased, the more they develop, themore red soil is washed into the ocean damaging the corals and the beautiful beaches. The nature of this island is our fortune, we must protect the nature on the island and the ocean for the next generation but we are having a hard time doing this. The last few years urbanization on the island has accelerated. Now we must take a break and think about what is really important for this island. And my thoughts about this problem is behind this design. 3% from the sales will be donated to Natsupana NPO, who are working on the preservation of corals in Ishigaki. Thank you for your contributions and I hope this is an opportunity for us to think about the future of our island. There also is the T-shirt with the same design.

山羊・ステッカー

２０１５年発売の「沖縄の金網の外にいる山羊は安全か?」Ｔシャツのデザインをステッカーにいたしました。 島の可愛い山羊をモチーフにしたデザイン、ではありますが実はその裏に、隠されたメッセージがあります。八重山諸島に米軍の基地はありませんが、沖縄本島には複数の米軍基地があります。沖縄における在日米軍基地と、専用施設の面積は、沖縄本島の面積の約１８％を占めています。実際この目で見てみるとその広大さに驚かされます。基地は金網で囲まれていますがこれだけ広大な土地だと、金網が取り囲んでいるのは米軍基地なのか、はたまた沖縄の方なのか、と思えてきたりします。金網の向こう側は、完全武装で平和を保っている場所、そしてこちら側は武力を持たずに、絶対戦争を起こしてはいけないと平和を祈っている沖縄県民の暮らす場所。このような状況で何か起きた時、果たして沖縄県民は安全なのかという単純な疑問が湧いてくるのです。そんな不安に怯える沖縄県民をか弱く愛くるしい山羊にたとえています。金網の外にいる山羊は本当に安全なのか？いち県民の不安をデザインしたのがこのステッカーなんです。
The sticker is a design of a goat that you see often here on the island, but there is a hidden concept behind this. As you may know, we have a large US base in Okinawa, although none in the Yaeyama islands at the moment, the total area of the base is 18% of the area of main island Okinawa. You may be surprised to see how big it is when you are standing by the base. It is surrounded by tall wire fencing, and you get the strange feeling that it may be us Okinawans who are surrounded in fencing and not the base itself. The land within the fencing is fully armed and is said that they are keeping peace. And the people on this side are unarmed and thinking daily that we may never start a war again, hoping for peace. So if something happens in this situation, are we really safe? Is the question I have. The innocent goat represents the anxiety in the Okinawan people. Is the goat outside of the cage really safe? Is based on the concept that hits a local’s mind from time to time. There also is the T-shirt with the same design.

石垣島のサーターアンダギー

Fried Sugar-Sticker
今や沖縄のソウルフードして全国的にも認知されてきた島の伝統菓子、サーターアンダギーをモチーフに大胆にデザインしたステッカーです。方言でサーターは「砂糖」、アンダは「油」、アギーは「揚げ」を意味しているんです。島では「砂糖天ぷら」とも呼ばれています。「砂糖天ぷら」=FRIED SUGAR。サーターアンダギーは島産の黒糖味がおすすめです。サーターアンダギーのステッカーをスーツケースに貼って沖縄・石垣島の旅の余韻に浸ってみてはいかがでしょう♪
The motif of the sticker is “Saata Andagii”, a traditional Okinawan sweet now well-known as a local soul food of Okinawa. “Saata” is sugar in Okinawan dialect, “Anda” is oil, and “Agii” means deep-fried. We sometimes call it “Sato Tempura” on the island, which is “Fried Sugar” in English. A sweet and cool T-shirt using three simple lines to express “Saata Andagii”. My personal favorite flavor of “Saata Andagii” is the locally produced brown sugar flavor. You can bask in the afterglow of your trips in Ishigaki island and Okinawa with the “Saata Andagii” sticker on your travel bag.
